📣 Reminder for 8th Grade Families!
Before Christmas break, I visited classrooms to share information and pass out flyers about the Rogers Explorers program—an incredible leadership opportunity for rising 9th graders.
⏳ The deadline to submit applications is January 31st! Students can access the application, application rubric, and FAQ page at: www.centeryouthprograms.com
This is a wonderful chance for students to build leadership skills, explore potential careers, and represent our school. I’ll also attach the flyer to this post for anyone who needs it again!
Rogers Explorers is a three-day, two-night summer program designed to build leadership, technology, math, science, and community service skills. It’s hands-on, fun, and hosted by partnering colleges including EKU, Morehead State, University of the Cumberlands, Union, and more.
Students from the 45-county service area may apply in 8th grade. If selected, all lodging, meals, and program costs are covered (families only provide transportation).
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

It’s time for our biennium FRYSC Services Survey. This data collection effort informs state leadership about the importance of the FRYSC program here at our school as well as statewide.
The survey will be available for 13 days and will end at 5:00 pm (ET) on Monday, January 26, 2026. Please fill out the survey so that we may share our program here at Evarts Elementary.

It's time for us to plan the calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. We would like to have your input. Please consider completing this survey to share your preferences for the calendar, which includes first day of school, various breaks and other items. We are so incredibly blessed to have each of our students in our lives. Watching them grow, learn, and shine is a gift, and today’s Christmas program was a beautiful reminder of the joy, hope, and love this season brings.
To our wonderful families—thank you for sharing your children with us and for the love and support you pour into our school community. We wish you a Christmas filled with peace, laughter, and special moments together, and a New Year full of health, happiness, and blessings. ❤️

What a magical day at pre-school! Today was Polar Express Day, and our K–4 students climbed aboard in their cozy jammies for a special visit with Santa 🎅✨ They received treat bags and gifts, and the excitement and Christmas spirit were truly priceless!
To make the journey even more meaningful, our students were also blessed with generous gifts from the Evarts Police Department ❤️💙 We are incredibly thankful for their kindness and continued support of our school family.
And for our students in grades K–8—don’t worry! Santa didn’t forget about you 🎄😉 All aboard again tomorrow, because he’ll be back with more goodies and holiday cheer!
Believe. 🎄✨🚂
