Glowing out of first grade in style! 💡✨ We celebrated the end of the year with a "Glow Day" on Friday - learning about bioluminescent animals and listening to fun stories. Such an exciting day for these bright kids! 🌟 🦅

Green Hills Elementary celebrated two very special milestones — Kindergarten Graduation and 8th Grade Graduation! 🎓💚💛🦅 From our youngest learners, to our 8th graders preparing for an exciting new chapter, we could not be more proud of all they have accomplished. Any incoming boy or girl in grades 4th–8th, as well as high school students interested in playing golf for the 2026–2027 school year, to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 26th. Meeting locations and times are as follows: • 5:00 PM – Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Cumberland • 6:30 PM – Harlan County Country Club We encourage all interested students and families to attend either meeting to learn more about the upcoming golf season. We are so incredibly proud of all the hard work and creativity these little authors put into their books. Great news for Kentucky families -- Summer 2026 SEBT is Here! The Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (SEBT) program is here to help eligible students enjoy nutritious food this summer. Each eligible student will receive a one-time benefit of $120 to purchase healthy food while school’s out. Automatic Approval: If your child aged 6-17, as of August 1, 2025, has received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP), or Kinship Care benefits for at least one month since July 1, 2025, they’re automatically approved -- no application is needed! The benefit will be directly deposited onto your household’s Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card and benefits can be expected no later than today, Tuesday, May 19, 2026. How to Apply: If your student is not considered automatically eligible, you can apply now to see if they qualify for Summer EBT benefits. Closing Date: Submit your application by Aug. 15, 2026, at KYSEBT.ky.gov or https://www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dcbs/dfs/pages/sebt.aspx Need Assistance?
