Today, FRYSC hosted our annual end-of-the year hot dog cookout for the staff and students at Green Hills. We appreciate the opportunity to do this every year and are grateful for the support from Save the Children in serving. Good luck on the KSA!! Peggy & Sheila 💚💛🦅

Proud of our Green Hills alumni – you make us shine! MICHAEL SCOTT MERRILL Merrill completed four years of JROTC, becoming the Black Bear Battalion's Executive officer, Color Guard commander, Raider commander and worked to rebuild the Raider team from the ground up after the Covid-19 Pandemic. He was also a part of FBLA, Den Keepers, and various other clubs. He graduated the Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College's nurse aide vocational program prior to high school graduation. He has enlisted into the United States Navy, with plans to become a nuclear engineer. He is set to train for nuclear propulsion for 6 years, applying to the Naval Academy or earning his bachelor's degree by the STA-21 program in physics or radiological technologies from Virginia Tech before the age of 20. Merrill said he hopes to earn a commission via Officer Candidate School or the Naval Academy to become a Naval Aviator with hopes of flying the F-18 or F/a-18, and on the civilian side earning a doctorate of medicine to be a radiologist retiring from the navy with 20 years (or more) of service. He will receive a $60,000 sign on bonus.
