ROSSPOINT WINS SIXTH GRADE ACADEMIC SHOWCASE
Congratulations to Rosspoint Elementary School on winning top honors in the Kentucky Colonels Sixth Grade Showcase on Saturday.
“I want to offer my heartfelt congratulations to all of our outstanding students who placed in the Kentucky Colonels Sixth Grade Showcase on Saturday,” said Harlan County Schools Superintendent Brett W. Johnson. “This is a tremendous achievement, and I encourage everyone to join me in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence these young scholars have shown. I would also like to acknowledge the coaches, teachers, and staff whose support makes participation in our academic team programs possible. Their commitment to our students continues to make a meaningful impact."
Johnson said, "A special congratulations goes to Rosspoint Elementary for earning top honors. We are incredibly proud of all our schools, and the results from Saturday’s competition once again showcase the remarkable talent found throughout Harlan and Bell counties.”
Rosspoint led all teams with 54 points, followed by Harlan Middle in second and Middlesboro in third. Other teams competing were Cumberland, Wallins and Cawood.
